Video footage shows terrified party-goers at Chris Brown's pre-VMA party cowering on the floor after shots rang out.
The revellers are told to "get down" after the singer was reportedly targeted in the shooting and three people were injured and taken to the city's Cedars Sinai hospital - one remains in a critical condition.
The video is captioned: "Just experienced a shooting in #1Oak #LA Suge Knights was shot and this is #ChrisBrown going nuts afterward. Notice the bouncer screaming to get down."
According to TMZ, model Tyson Beckford, who was at the bash with celebrity pals, heard four shots ring out in the club before police rushed to the scene and the nightspot was evacuated.
Chris, 25, was uninjured, but music producer Suge Knight, who founded Death Row Records, was taken to hospital after walking out of the club and being spotted by officers.
Katie Clendon, who is believed to have been at the party, posted a message on her Twitter account claiming she thought the gunmen were aiming at Chris when they fired the shots.
She wrote: "Literally can't believe what I just witnessed. Someone tried to fire shots at Chris Brown at 1oak. Speechless."

Via YBF: According to police reports, four shots rang out inside the club at 1:30am as Tyson Beckford, Justin Bieber and Black Eyed Peas member Apple de Ap danced the night away. Eyewitnesses say Suge Knight walked out of the club unassisted and was placed in an ambulance as police scrambled to assist the three victims and rush Chris to safety (some outlets report him being "shot at").
In news that may or may not be related to the shooting, TMZ reports that rapper The Game and his security goons were involved in a full-fledged fight with club security an hour and a half BEFORE the shooting. Other developments - We've learned that Suge was taken to the city's Cedars Sinai hospital and several suspects were apprehended.

And now Breezy has broken his silence about the moment he was reportedly shot at his pre-VMA party via Twitter today, the singer said:
- "It is disappointing that we as a society cannot have fun or enjoy ourselves without any altercations sometimes. Miss me with the b******t."
