Okay this is what's up! Grammy Award-nominated rapper 2 Chainz is making healthy moves as he joins E.R. physician Dr. Travis Stork from the hit day time show 'The Doctors" to snap in the kitchen to share some of his tasty looking favorite recipes from his new cookbook, 'Meal Time 2 Chainz Tour Bus Cookbook'.
"I'm a rap artist first, but
at the same time, I understand that I do have a platform. I just try to share
some of the things, which would be a healthy lifestyle," 2 Chainz says, peep the Snappers getting it down in the kitchen
inside.
2 Chainz met up with
Dr. Travis Stork, to shows off a few of his healthy Southern food recipes
from his new cookbook. The Rapper also shared the reason behind the cookbook
was a product of his battles with ulcers and acid reflux that he suffer with for years.
2 Chainz explains that he had to change the way he eats by making attempt
to break the stereotype that all Southern food is unhealthy. The hip hop
recording artist is using the platform of his music success to spread the
message and saids:
“What you put in
your body is what you get out.”
The Dr asks the
rapper if he created his new cookbook 'Meal Time' out of a sense of social
responsibility, 2 Chainz replied:
“I’m
definitely not trying to be a preacher. I’m a rap artist first but at the same
time I understand that I do have a platform. I just try to share some of the
things, which would be the healthy lifestyle.”
Chainz added:
“I cut out the fried foods, I don’t drink any alcohol, I can’t
have any orange juice, lemonade, things like that and it just developed a
certain way for me to eat.” The difference was almost immediate. “I felt
like a whole other person. I definitely felt younger. I had more energy.”

Try his
healthy and delicious recipe for pan-seared sea bass with heirloom tomato salsa
which is just nice for a healthy Christmas meal -- Sea Bass Ingredients:
Salsa
Ingredients:
• Fresh basil
• 3 multi-colored heirloom tomatoes, chunked
• Juice of 1 lime
• 1 avocado, diced
• 1/2 purple onion, sliced thin
• 1/4 cup olive oil
• Fresh basil

Instructions: 1. with the speakers on full blast,
play your favorite cuts from B.O.A.T.S. II #MeTime.
2. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
3. In hot, oven-safe, non-stick skillet, add olive oil.4. Season both sides of the sea bass with salt and pepper.
5. Add sea bass to the pan, and sear for 3 to 4 minutes, until brown crust forms.
6. Turn sea bass over and sear for another 2 minutes.
7. Place skillet in heated oven, turn oven off, and leave in oven for 5 minutes to finish cooking fish.
8. Combine salsa ingredients in large bowl and stir.
9. Place generous amount of salsa on two plates, top with fish and garnish as desired.
10. Devour your meal, and enjoy listening through the end of B.O.A.T.S. II #MeTime.

Smoky Kale Greens:
• 1 pound kale
• 1/2 small purple onion
• Olive oil
• 2 teaspoons garlic
• Smoked turkey of your choice
• 4 cups chicken stock
• Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions:
1. Heat up some olive oil in a pan and add onion and garlic to it.
2. Let the mixture cook for 1 to 2 minutes, then add smoked turkey and toss that for one more minute.
3. Add 4 cups chicken stock to a pot, and season with salt and pepper for desired flavor.
4. Bring to a boil, then add kale, cooking until kale stalks are tender. This should take approximately 20 to 25 minutes.
5. Sit down and enjoy all your greens while listening to "Black Unicorn."
