Rapper Saweetie rocked a simple top knot hair bun accessorize by multi-color hairpins to complement her gown to stun on the pre-Grammys red carpet over the weekend. The “My Type” Diva was hair was styled up by Ray Christopher, who used the Dove’s new Amplified Textures collection to tighty up the 'sleek' bun... Well then... “The inspiration for Saweetie’s look tonight was simple, let’s make the bun fun again,” says Ray. Starting on freshly cleansed and conditioned hair, he applied Dove Amplified Textures Twist In Moisture Shaping Butter Cream ($6.99) to help moisturize her hair before smoothing it up in a sleek, high ponytail with Dove Amplified Textures Shine and Moisture Finishing Gel ($6.99).

Once the ponytail was secure, he applied more of the shaping butter for onto her ends before twisting up. (Tip: clip in a few tracks or drawstring ponytail if you desire more length or volume).
“Using a coiling technique, I twisted sections of her ponytail to resemble a curl before securing with bobby pins in the bun,” Ray tells us. Once up, he pinned bun into place and used the gel to smooth down any flyaways and style her baby hairs..”
