Well, it’s that time, the R&B Divas of Los Angeles are back for season two. With the exception of Kelly Price and Dawn Robinson, all of the original cast members have returned. And as previously reported, singers Chrisette Michele and Leela James have been added to the cast as well.
“TV One is excited to welcome back R&B Divas LA for a second season,” said D’Angela Proctor, SVP of Programming and Production for TV One in a statement.
“The stakes are higher and the drama more intense for our ladies this time around as the realities of balancing music careers and personal demons prove even more of a challenge. Infused with exciting musical performances and moments of intense highs and lows, we know this season will continue to deliver exciting and buzzy episodes for our viewers.”
Judging by the season two trailer, fans have plenty of drama to look forward to. In one scene, Lil’ Mo can be seen telling someone, “You are evil, you are wicked and you need to stop.” It’s unclear who her comments were directed at, but we can only imagine how much things probably escalated from there. According to the network press release, the new season will also the cast as they “balance a series of personal issues, such as divorce and struggles with suicide.”
“R&B Divas: LA” returns to TV One Wednesday, July 16 at 10:00 pm E/T.
